5 New Blogs Every Second
I did a little research – did you know that there are more than 70 million blogs on the internet? Actually there are way more than that by now – that was the count a year and a half ago, with 175,000 new blogs added every day.
Imagine if all those blogs were voices, and you had to try to pick out a particular voice to listen to. And now I’m going to add to all that noise with this blog.
Almost every day I have a conversation with the Gods of T’ai Chi. OK – I don’t mean that literally. Several years ago a woman I met suggested that when I did my practice I should “listen to the T’ai Chi gods.” Well, I don’t know about gods, but I do know that every day when I practice and when I teach I see new and amazing insights into the meaning of T’ai Chi. Sometimes these insights are material – the nuances of the actual motions of the body – and sometimes these insights are metaphorical. Spiritual.
Messages from the T’ai Chi Gods. That’s what I’m going to write about in this blog. Maybe they will make sure my voice gets heard amongst all those others. Check back often to read what they’ve told me, and send feedback to let me know what you think…

Well, it’s about time bub!!!
I am so glad to read something new. Tai Chi Gods hmmmm.
I don’t know about that but I have been having some really uplifting and a little spooky times in my “sacred grove” the new place where I do my Am Chi and my 24 form in the morning(and I do mean morning-I am starting to get up at 5:30–hey if it’s good enough for the Dali Lama…. opps he gets up an hour eariler). This place appeals to me, guess it’s the Celtic blood. It’s in a grove of trees on the campus of the local art school. There is a circle of stone benches too-kind of like a stone circle. The strangest thing is how lately the birds and animals seem not to be afraid of staying near me while I practice. Sometimes I feel like some princess in a Disney movie. Does this have to do with the “Tai chi gods” ? I am still trying to figure this one out.
I seem to get my best and most deeply moving practices in this place.
I have also found a place by the river on the local bike path that seems to be charged with energy.
Out door practice has something more than what you can get inside. It’s a totally differnt feeling to do “Holding up the Heavens” and look up through the trees while your feet touch the grass, than seeing the ceiling of the living room and feeling the rug under your feet.
Oh by the way, I was out practiceing in the rain yesterday.
That was a rush!!!
It will be terrific to have a tai chi blog out amongst all the blogs. I look forward to future entries.
