Welcome to the largest interactive resource for learning T’ai Chi on the internet.Hello. I’m David-Dorian Ross, America’s T’ai Chi Champion. I’ve been studying and practicing T’ai Chi Ch’uan for more than 30 years, and in that time I’ve worked with some of the greatest T’ai Chi masters in the world today. One of myh teachers was the man who first discovered Jet Lee when he was only 8 years old, and coached him to be the world wushu superstar of today. Over the last 30 years I have collected thousands of books, articles, videos, research papers and personal experiences. On this site you can find an ever-growing library of resources to help you learn T’ai Chi. Whether you’re a beginner or a veteran, a “park person” or master teacher, we built this site for you!
Why T’ai Chi?Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese form of movement that brings about the coordination of your body, and that focuses on the cultivation of internal energy. The aim of Tai Chi is to harmonize the mind, body and spirit, promoting both mental and physical well being. People who practice Tai Chi find that they will become revitalized, relaxed, tolerant, stronger and healthier in both body and mind. Tai Chi is suitable for all ages and sexes because it does not rely on strength, force or speeds. Tai Chi has many beneficial effects on your health and fitness. Tai Chi can help you to relax your mind and body by helping to combat stress and strains from work or home. It can also improve your balance, flexibility and posture. If Tai Chi is practiced properly it can improve conditions like asthma, cardiovascular disease, digestive disorders and arthritis. |
